| Editorial Reviews:
Editorial Review Among Spiderman's numerous responsibilities is keeping an eye on the city of New York in order to prevent nefarious goings-on by the various baddies who haunt the Big Apple. So it's only natural that he would lend his likeness to this wireless video camera kit. Done up in the de rigueur reds and blues that generally accompany Spidey, the camera can record to a VCR or feed straight to a TV without requiring wires (or strong tensile webs for that matter). The kit includes an RF receiver, an external microphone and an AC adaptor. This is not designed to produce top of the line quality films but it's simple to figure out and operate, making it a perfect first camera for budding superheroes. Camera includes six AA batteries. --Charlie Williams

So like the other review warnings! I give it a 0 for not working! December 3, 2005 Tina Dehart (Country USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this item, for Christmas, for my parents to give to my son. Later I read some reviews on the internet. I asked my parents to try it out because of the bad ratings. Sure enough, my parents had the same trouble as most. When my parents called the company, the company did not even try to talk my parents through troubleshooting, they just said " you can get your money back", I feel(my opinion) that they know this is a defective product due to the fact that they were unwilling to even try to help figure out the problem. The company should recall all of these items and save the public the hastle. I can just imagine the poor parents and children over christmas. This item has been reduced to $50 from $100. They should be paying us!!!! I am turning their name to the Better Business Burea. I would suggest you do the same.
Very disappointing birthday gift April 23, 2005 Patboys Mom (Georgia) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I purchased the videocam for $99 and my 6 yr old said it best..."That was a waste of our money!" We could not get it to work at all. The setup was simple, but what good is that if the toy does not function?! We tried on three tv's and two vcr's. The best response we got was static on one of the tv sets.
A huge mistake March 25, 2005 2 kids 4 me (Heidelberg, Germany) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
My seven year old son saved the $99.00 for months in order to buy this toy himself and was so excited when it came. He was extremely sad and disappointed when it didn't work. The instructions were very difficult to follow and made you think that if you just put new batteries in it, that it would magically work as well as they claimed. That just wasn't the case for us. Thankfully the return process was easy and we were able to purchase another toy.
A Good Toy Videocam March 5, 2005 CJ (Atlanta, GA USA) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought the Spider-Man wireless video camera for my six-year-old son for Christmas. He absolutely loves it! While it's limited to indoor use, my son enjoys filming himself and other family members in action. As for educational value, we can't take it to the t-ball park and later critique his swing technique, but it's useful for journaling science projects. The set-up is easy to follow: plug in the jacks, set the tv tuner, and turn it on! Our only (minor) problem was interference with other wireless devices in our home.
